Andrew Loza, Founder and CEO Andrew graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1977 with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science. He founded APPL in 1987, after being associated with Heinold Commodities and Geldermann, Inc. He is also the owner and chief trader of Management Trading Systems, Inc. (MTS), a corporation registered as a Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA) with the NFA and CFTC since 1989.
Peter Broshek, Ex-President Peter attended Bucknell University and received a BA in Economics in 1982. Upon graduating, he joined Merrill Lynch Futures and managed their futures and options trading desk. He then worked on the floor as an arbitrage clerk on the COMEX until 1985. Subsequently, he joined Heinold Commodities as a broker, and later Geldermann, Inc. before joining APPL at its inception. Peter retired January, 28 2001. Peter was president for 14 years. We all miss you.
Charles Conaway, Sales Manager Charles graduated from Mars Hill College in North Carolina. He has been a registered commodities broker since 1976. He joined APPL in 1988 as the sales manager. Charles spent the first half of his career in the theater business. He concluded his theater career in 1952 as the last producer of the Ziegfield Follies on Broadway. He has close to a half century of experience in investment related industries. Charlie is still going strong!!!
Kwang Yeul Jhin, Principal (CTA) Kwang, also doing buisiness as John, has been trading futures and options for over 12 years and specializes in technical analysis of financial and currency markets. John's option trading strategies have been particularly helpful for large customer accounts. John is fluent in Korean and was born in Seoul.
Haiyun Huang , International Sales Director Haiyun has a Master of Physics and is a PhD candidate at the Stevens Institute of Technology with research in mathematical modeling in analyzing financial markets. He has worked as a financial planner for over three years and also has done trading on the Forex markets prior to joining APPL International. His rich mathematical education combined with his experience in the financial industry has given him great strength in both technical and fundamental analysis.
Yakov Voshchin, MIS Director Yakov has worked for various Internet Service Providers as both a web designer and a UNIX security administrator. Yakov's has a history with partners who have worked with Cable & Wireless, Intel, and Networksolutions, This experience has enabled yakov to handle or solve most Internet or network difficulties. Yakov has 5 years of experience in Internet services and is fluent in Russian.
Michael Hanna, Senior Account Executive Mike graduated Cum Laude from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Politics. A multitalented individual in a number of arenas, Mike has worked intensely in the commodity sector for three years helping clients reach their investment goals with various futures and options strategies. He has a distinct passion for options and is a Finance major in the MBA program at the Stern School of Business at NYU.
Sujeong Yeo, Senior Account Executive Sujeong majored in Russian and Slavic Studies at NYU. Prior to working at APPL International, she had enjoyed her career in the legal field. She was born and raised in Korea and speaks Korean fluently. Sujeong's hobbies include fine dining, reading, cooking, traveling and learning languages (Japanese, Spanish, French and of course Russian).
Wakana Yokota, Senior Account Executive Wakana was born in Kanazawa, Japan and lived there until 1998 when she moved to the United States. She graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Wakana is fluent in Japanese and is a prominent member of the Japanese team at APPL.
Li Jiang, Senior Account Executive Li graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration concentrating in Finance and Management Information Systems. Li is a technology specialist and enjoys assisting clients with any Internet or computer related questions. She is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
Doris Yan, Senior Account Exectuive Doris graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a BA in Economics. Prior to joining APPL, Doris was the Co-founder and CFO of NDS Ventures Inc. and Happy Information Inc, a US-China joint venture. She has also worked at Merrill Lynch in the private client group and Vermont Securities in Hong Kong. She is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese and is the APPL Chinese team expert in online trading.
